Our inaugural vintage with this amazing site, it is planted on picturesque south-facing slopes of clay and loam, just five miles from the Pacific Ocean and is bordered by the La Honda Open Space Preserve. With a compelling mix of Dijon and Swiss clones, most the vines are planted at a dense 4-foot spacing to promote lower yields. The coldest blocks are trellised just 18” off the ground to capture the heat of the earth on this cool coastal site at the frontier-edge of the AVA. 

Matt Kettmann of the Wine Enthusiast just awarded this wine 94 points. Matt writes,  “Elegant floral aromas of lavender and rose petal float through the candied raspberry and earthy sage notes on the nose of this bottling. The palate is tense with red plum, raspberry and lemon peel flavors, as the wild herb and verbena elements add depth.”
