The return of one of our favorite Chardonnays grown three miles inland and 1000 feet above the Monterey Bay, atop a gentle southern-facing slope of bright white Zayante sands. Intense marine influence, the unique soils, and 30 year-old own-rooted vines yield wines of of great character. Farmed exclusively with organic practices.
Matt Kettmann of the Wine Enthusiast just awarded this wine 95 points. “Extremely tightly woven on the nose, this bottling from a mountaintop vineyard smells of jicama, melon rind and very subtle honeysuckle. The palate keeps that brisk tightness from start to finish, delivering more of that crisp white fruit alongside an intriguing touch of lemon verbena.”
