Bruzzone Vineyard Chardonnay 2019
Chardonnay raised on alluvium of raised, ancient marine terraces and coastal benches, the Bruzzone vineyard is just four miles from the Pacific Ocean in the Scotts Valley. Aromas of citrus zest and flint open up to green apple, Meyer lemon curd, and almond blossom. The palate is focused, taught, and chalky, with intense mineral structure and the polished edges of a wine raised on its lees for 18 months. Tension and minerality persist through the long finish.
"Superclean and tight on the nose with Asian pear, yuzu-pith, nectarine and wet chalk aromas. The focus is intense on the palate, where a chalky core frames fresh jicama and borderline minty flavors, which fascinate with each sip." - Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast, 95 points Editor's Choice Award
